Why we started Brockhurst Property

Brockhurst Property was founded in 2012 after Mark Brockhurst began a career working in the South East property industry and kept seeing the same problems — landlords left chasing agents for updates, leaseholders ignored for months, maintenance jobs that never quite got finished.

We set up Brockhurst because we believed property management could be done better. Not flashier — just more reliable, more transparent and more human. That's still what drives us.

How we work

Every client at Brockhurst Property has a named property manager — not a rotating team, not a generic inbox. Someone who knows your building, knows your tenants and picks up the phone when you call.

We deliberately keep our portfolio to a size where that's possible. We'd rather manage fewer properties well than more properties badly.

  1. Honesty over optimism — We give you an honest rental valuation, not the highest number to win your instruction. It saves everyone time and sets the right expectations from day one.
  2. Transparency as standard — Clear fees, itemised service charge accounts and maintenance invoices available on request. You should always know where your money is going.
  3. Responsive, not reactive — We try to spot problems before they become expensive. Regular inspections, planned maintenance schedules and compliance tracking — not just waiting for things to go wrong.

Properly accredited, fully protected

Brockhurst Property meets all regulatory requirements for a UK letting and property management business. Your money is protected, your data is handled correctly and your property is managed by a business you can hold to account.

  • Client money protection — All client funds are held in a dedicated client account protected by Client Money Protection. This is a legal requirement for all letting agents in England.
  • Property Redress Scheme — Brockhurst Property is a member of the Property Redress Scheme — a government-approved redress scheme. If you have a complaint that we cannot resolve, you have the right to escalate it to the scheme independently.
  • Data protection — We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO registration no. ZA008599) and handle all personal data in accordance with UK GDPR.
  • Company registration — Brockhurst Property Ltd is registered in England and Wales. Company no. 08280052.
